Formed in 1980 by Paul Fogarty (guitar) and Ben Hayman (bass) and bringing in Daron Johns (drums) and Gary Charlton (vocals) AFC/TSL were antipodean, angular post punk. First as AFC then laterly named TSL the band regularly played stages in their home town Auckland along with shows in Christchurch, New Plymouth and in support of The Fall on their Hex Enduction Tour.
